Although Daniel Day-Lewis was outstanding, I still think Gangs of New York is one of Scorsese’s worst films.
As for Woody Allen, I agree the whole Soon-Yi thing hangs over Husbands and Wives like a dark cloud. However I think it makes the film even more compelling as a result. I wonder if Mia Farrow can even watch this film anymore, I am sure it just brings up horrible memories.
Definitely agree about Husbands and Wives. Although as compelling as it is, I don't think I can rewatch the movie.
