Don't know why but I got poignancy on the brain lately, and I can't stop thinking about the ending scene of The Age of Innocence—a movie I last saw over a decade ago.

Just as sad and gutting as the book--you do know it was a book, right?! Though you hate Winona Ryder more than the literary character of May, and sort of think she has it coming in the film. You need to see Indochine which ends equally bitter sweet and incomplete!
I haven't read it yet, though I have been on a book-reading binge lately. I'll probably get around to it at some point. I also have Indochine on my list. So many movies and books ahead of me.
